As an integral part of this vision, Fountain Gateway Church has a vision of building an interdenominational prayer center and an apostolic hub where ministers will be trained and sent out into the harvest field!<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fountaingatewaychurch.com\/wp-content\/themes\/fountaingcro\/images\/image17.jpg\" class=\"thumb_right_dr\" alt=\"people praying\"><\/figure>\n<h4>Core Beliefs<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"bullet col2\">\n<li>Fountain Gateway Church takes its name from this Bible passage: \u201cFor with You is the fountain of life.\u201d (Psalm 36:9a).\n<li>We believe that the Holy Scripture (the Bible) is a complete written record of God\u2019s revelation to mankind and is a divine product fashioned by the Holy Spirit, who inspired and superintended the human writers \u2013 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21\n<li>We believe that the Bible is the only, final, and infallible authority for faith and practice in both public and private life \u2013 2 Timothy 3:16-17\n<li>We believe that there is but one living and true God who exists eternally as three persons \u2014 Father, Son, and Holy Spirit \u2014 Matthew 28:19\n<li>We believe that because of the Fall, all men are without any capacity to merit the favor of God. Therefore, we believe that man\u2019s salvation is wholly of God\u2019s grace through the redemptive work of our Lord Jesus Christ \u2013 Romans 3:23-24\n<li>We believe that after physical death, there will be bodily resurrection of all people, believers to eternal life and unbelievers to judgment and eternal punishment \u2013 Matthew 25:46\n<li>We believe in the literal, personal, and bodily return of Jesus Christ to the earth \u2013 Acts 1:10-11\n<li>We believe in the ordinance of water baptism by emersion as commanded in the Scriptures and to be observed by all who have repented their sins and have believed on Christ as Savior and Lord \u2013 Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:16\n<li>We believe the Lord\u2019s Supper should be observed by born-again believers regularly according to Scripture \u2013 1 Corinthians 11:24,25,28\n<li>We believe that holy matrimony is between one man and one woman and is divinely appointed by God as the foundation for society \u2013 Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Our History<\/h4>\n<p>Fountain Gateway Church was born out of the obedience of Pastors Isaac &#038; Mary Kangara to the Lord\u2019s instructions to relocate from Dallas, Texas to Portland, Oregon in the Fall of 2016. They immediately connected with a small group of believers of African descent who were hungry for the move of God in the city. They began meeting in a chapel at All Saints Episcopal Church in SE Portland every Sunday afternoon for prayer, fasting, and worship. Later, they relocated to Juanita Pohl Center in Tualatin, Oregon where the church was officially launched in the Fall of 2017.
